With over 20 years in senior management, leadership and governance experience in delivering reforms, organisational change, and enhanced performance delivery, implementing strategies and programmes of improvement in a range of activities from health and social care provision, ensuring the care of vulnerable adults and children. Experienced in working with Government Ministers, Government Departments, Senior Civil Servants and Oireachtas Committees along with other inspection and monitoring agencies. Highly effective communicator with the capacity to influence with a wide range of stakeholders in many different forums.
Successfully participated and lead on government policy on ending the detention of young people in adult prison in 2016 through the reconfiguration and reform of three Children Detention schools into the Oberstown Children Detention Campus through a complex reform program.
I successfully managed the competing demands on the relocation of the Central Mental Hospital through strategic planning, risk management and negotiation with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve government policy as set out in Sharing the Vision. This project required managing public expectation, political agendas and media awareness.
